Kenyan electric mobility pioneer, Roam, has been name among the prestigious 2024 Impact- 100 list, a global ranking of the most innovative and transformative startups.
Curated by the Norrsken Foundation in collaboration with over 40 venture capitalists and organizations, including the Obama Foundation and the World Fund, the Impact/100 list celebrates companies disrupting industries and reshaping the future.
Roam’s inclusion highlights Africa’s growing influence in driving sustainable solutions in the transport sector.
Chosen from over 1,200 competitors, Roam was recognized for its clean, affordable transport solutions across Africa and its contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Roam supports key goals, including reducing carbon emissions (Goal 13: Climate Action), promoting sustainable transport (Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities), and driving economic growth (Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth).
In a significant moment, Roam’s logo will light up the NASDAQ billboard in New York’s Times Square, alongside other Impact/100 honorees such as AirForestry, Shara, and Fleet Zero.
The global spotlight underscores Roam’s leadership in Africa’s electric mobility sector and its mission to scale up sustainable transportation solutions.
