The National Youth Service(NYS) and Kenya Wildlife Service cross country have been added to the Athletics Kenya Cross country series.
The NYS event will be held on January 7, 2023 at the Ngong Racecourse at Ngong racecourse with the KWS event on the same day at Lobo Village in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu County.
Regional cross country events are also pencilled for the same day across the various AK regions.
The national cross country championships will be held at the Kenya Prisons Staff Training College, Ruiru on January 21, 2023 with the Agnes Tirop cross country, now renamed Sirikwa Classic Country Tour slated for February 4, 2023 at Lobo Village.
The cross country season starts with the build-up competition next weekend at Machakos Peoples' Park.
The second meeting will be held in Kapsokwony, Bungoma County on October 29.
The third event is slated for Sotik on November 12 with the fourth event set for a fortnight in Olkalou, Nyandarua County.
The fifth meeting will take place in Iten on December 10 with the Kenya Prisons Service cross country event slated for December 17 at Prisons Staff Training College in Ruiru.
The Kenya Defence Forces Cross country is scheduled for January 6, 2023at the Ulinzi Sports Complex with the National Police Service event slated for Ngong Racecourse on the same day.
The University cross county event takes place on January 7, 2023.
The season will culminate with the World Cross Country Championships slated for Bathurst Australia on February 18, 2023.
