Labour FC beat Bumala Allstars 2-0 at Ganjala Primary School to go top of Zone B in the Busia County League.

Longinus Barasa scored a brace to emerge top scorer in the ongoing league with five goals to his credit. Job Ouma of Teens of Hope is second with four goals.

Labour are top of the log with 22 points from eight matches with seven victories and one draw. Teens of Hope are second with 17 points with Simuli and Nasewa tying on 12 points but separated on goal difference.

In the other Zone B match played on Sunday, Lwanyange and Mabale settled for a goalless draw at Lwanyange Primary School.

In Zone A, Musokoto are top of the log with 30 points from 11 matches, with 10 victories and one loss. 

Kabkara are second with 21 points from a similar number of matches. They have won six matches, three draws and two losses.

In the Zone B encounter on Sunday, Kabkara silenced Boca Junior 4-2 at Kabkara Primary School with Amos Chesarmet and Dan Kibet scoring two goals each.

Kibet's brace saw him lead with seven goals to his credit. Silas Ouma is second with six goals while Cleophas Ekisa is third with four goals.

Malaba-based Boca Junior scored their consolation goals through Oscar Wafula who scored a brace to see his team return home pointless.

At Katakwa Primary School, hosts Katakwa pipped Moding 1-0 with Raphael Nandasaba netting the lone goal.

Visiting Musokoto beat Katelenya 2-1 at Katelenyang Primary School. Patrick Were and Brian Sifuna netted for the winners with Christian Idoka scoring their consolation goal.
