NPCA shelve tourney due to the current poor weather conditions

Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) postponed the 50-Overs Knockout tournament to a later date due to the current poor weather situation

NPCA secretary Narendra Patel said the association will purpose to complete the tournament before the start of the 2023/24 NPCA 50 overs League.

Ruaraka Sports Club ‘A’ were scheduled to play Swamibapa  ‘A’ in the final of the event at the Nairobi Jaffrey's grounds.

The semi-finals for Division One and Two were also planned to conclude at various venues over the weekend.

Patel said the current soggy state of cricket pitches across the city informed the decision to call off the remaining six matches of the 50-Overs knockout tournament.

 “The teams are free to work on their wickets and ground during this break,” said Narendra in a statement.

He added: “We would like to thank you all for the support during the current 2022/23 season and look forward to the same for the upcoming season,” said Narendra.
