Champions National Cereals and Produce Board blanked Rangers 39-27 in a Kenya Handball Federation league match at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The millers goal tally was engineered by Robert Maraga, who shot eight while Timothy Kirimi, Christian Georgia and Brian Wekukha had five each.

The Bungoma-based side were led by Abel Kimei, who tallied nine goals as Richard Simiyu and Palmas Wanyonyi made five each.

General Service Unit (GSU) recovered from a 16-13 halftime deficit to clobber Boomerang 33-21. Christopher Mayende shot 11 goals while Eric Nyamwega and Philip Oscar had five each. Boomerang had six from Austin Ochieng and five from Joshua Onyango.

In their other matches, Rangers led 21-14 at the break as they beat Hunters 48-32. Weru registered 11 goals and Mark Barasa had 10. Timothy Wangila top-scored for the losers with nine.

Brian Mutunga had 25 goals and Wycliffe Kinoti eight as Spartans crushed Buccaneers 60-21. Stanley Ngacha had nine for the losers.

Buccaneers beat Kenyatta University 37-28 as Austin Moracha notched 10 and Joshua Onyango added seven. Josephat Osinde had five for the losers.

In the women’s matches, NCPB hammered Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology 35-14. Naomy Muyuka shot 10 goals for NCPB and Terry Akinyi replied with six for Jkuat. KU blanked Rising Star 49-34 as Barbra Abunde collected 12 goals.
