Harambee Stars offensive midfielder Masoud Juma has expressed confidence in the team's mojo to run over their opponents in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers that kick off this month.
The Saudi Arabia-based Kenyan International made the remarks as the team entered the third day of intense preparations ahead of the crunch ties.
Kenya has been drawn in Group F of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Gambia, Burundi, and Seychelles.
Harambee Stars will first dare Gabon to a vicious duel in Franceville tomrrow before flexing muscles with Seychelles in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on November 20.
Juma said they are ready to put up a valiant fight with their sights firmly trained on punching a direct ticket to the world's most cherished football extravaganza.
"Everyone is willing to give everything to ensure the team performs well. This is our moment and we are going to do all we can to meet the expectations of our fans," he said.
"We are not under pressure in any way and we are ready to deliver in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers that begin this month," he added.
Masoud said Harambee Stars are in lethal form after gleaning invaluable experience from their high-profile international friendly matches against Qatar and Russia, who have all featured in the World Cup.
"We did well against superior opponents, and I'm sure we have what it takes to go the full length in our campaign," Masoud stated.
"The coach has assembled a formidable squad and we appear to be in a comparatively better shape than were in the past," he added.
Masoud, who plies trade for Al-Jabalain on the Saudi top-flight stage, extolled head coach Engin Firat for moulding a competitive outfit capable of asserting authority in the qualifiers.
"The coach believes in us, and this has uplifted our spirits and boosted our level of confidence. The team is responding well to the coach, and there has been a steady stream of call-ups," Masoud observed.
He appealed to Kenyan fans to throng the stands and roar them on as they embark on a lofty campaign for a maiden World Cup appearance.
"We have a fantastic thing going on, and I think we can compete at the highest level if we can maintain our consistency as a team. I simply want to ask the supporters to continue coming out to support us," Masoud said.
He said the senior players were more than willing to hold the hands of the new call-ups and guide them through the journey.
"We'll do all we can to help them settle in and gel with the rest of the squad. They need to be taken through the ropes because featuring for the national team demands a lot more," Masoud said.
