Domitila lands green pastures in Botswana Women's League

Madira Soccer Assassins team manager, Sharon Vulimo, confirmed Domitila had left the team for green pastures abroad.

Madira Soccer Assassins, who were recently demoted from Kenya Women's Premier League (KWPL), have parted ways with their assistant tactician Domitila Wangui.

Madira Soccer Assassins team manager, Sharon Vulimo, confirmed  Domitila had left the team for green pastures abroad. 

“As the team manager, I can officially confirm that our assistant team manager has left the team and as we speak now, she is serving in the Botswana Women's League,” Vulimo noted. 

She said they will move with speed to replace Domitila and strengthen their technical bench

Domitila joined the Assassins from Gaspo Ladies, where she served as a head coach before former Harambee Stars' coach Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee was hired.

Vulimo was speaking to Star at the Ebusakami sports ground, where Madira played Ibubi Girls in the Vihiga County Secondary School Games.

The Assassins were demoted after finishing 10th with 14 points on the log in the 2023/24 KWPL season. 

Other teams that were relegated were Tran Nzoia Falcons and Gaspo Ladies, who performed poorly in the league due to the financial crisis.

“Currently we still have Francis Muhambe on board and our mission is to look for the next assistant coach to work with him,” Vulimo said.

Vulimo further said Football Kenya Federation have opened the transfer window and they will be going into the market to seek new players to strengthen their side.

Already, there are claims that the club could lose several players ahead of next season.

“ Already there are rumours that some players are on the verge of exiting the club. The truth is that we can’t hold them hostage as our mission is to nurture talents within our team and school,” she said.
