Head coach Sammy “Pamzo” Omollo convinced Nyakeya to join his side as a key player, outlining his ambition to revive the glamour boyz to their hey days, after escaping relegation last season.

“We are pleased to announce that a talented attacking midfielder has joined us. We welcome Mr Nyakeya to Shabana and look forward to the contributions he will make to our team,” said an official statement from the club.

Before joining Ingwe, Nyakeya featured for Wazito and Mathare United between 2016 and 2019 before having a stint at the Egyptian side, Al Masry.

Shabana won the National Super League title in 2023 to make a comeback to the top tier after being relegated 17 years ago and finished at position 14 with 38 points.

“We will be aiming to improve on our previous position (14) and we have to win most of our home games, to achieve that because we will be playing in our stadium near our fans and we have to perform," said Pamzo.

Meanwhile, 13 players will undergo medicals with Shabana ahead of the pre-season, with Pamzo likely add new faces. The 13 are; Fredrick Onyango, Dimpol Omamo, George Orako, Mark Okola, Benard Otieno, Justine Omwando, Christopher Raila, Lamec Onwonga, Samuel Maiko, Brian Michira, Dalphine Omuri, Mathew Tegisi, and Vincent Nyabuto.
