The JGF President Madam Regina Gachora Congratulated the winners for their commitment and efforts shown during the tournament.

“The Scores are getting better and better. Well done Shashwat and Belinda and a Big Congratulations to you and the future is truly looking bright. I would also like to announce that Belinda has earned her WAGR and will now be ranked among the best globally. The move towards 50 WAGR-ranked Junior Players in Kenya is slowly and surely becoming a reality,” she said.

Gachora also recognized Nathan Mwangi (71) and Krish Shah (69) for posting under-par scores while self-caddying in a WAGR tournament during their 3rd and 4th rounds respectively.

“It's quite commendable for those two and our golf development programme results are now being seen,” Gachora added.

In the 18 years and under category, home player Krish Shah played the best round of the tournament, shooting an impressive three-under-par score in the final round to emerge the boy winner while Antonia Mbuthia from Muthaiga Golf Club emerged as the girls' winner.

The tournament having been first held in 2023 is open to juniors who are 18 years and under with a world handicap index of 24.0 for boys and 28.0 for girls.  Focus now shifts to The Limuru Junior Open from August 4-6.
