Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) chairman Kipchumba Maiyo has backed Kenyan teams to restore the country’s lost glory at the ongoing Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) games.

Maiyo said that despite Kenyan teams recording mixed results on Day Two of the games at Bukedea and Mbale districts in Uganda, he is confident that Kenyan teams will improve their performance.

“We have been on an upward trajectory since the games resumed after Covid-19. From what we saw at the nationals in Kisii and first term in Machakos, I’m confident our teams will do well,” he told the Star.

“We have had good preparations. The teams are upbeat and I believe they will deliver gold medals. The standards are high but I expect gold medals from Kenyan teams,” said Maiyo, the Chief Principal of Kapsabet Boys.
