Kenya Table Tennis Association (KTTA) president Andrew Mudibo has hailed the federation’s groundbreaking partnership with Indian sports manufacturer STAG, saying it will open doors for more young Kenyans to embrace the sport.

The three-year deal, worth Sh21 million, will see STAG provide a wide range of high-quality table tennis equipment to KTTA through 2028.

The globally renowned brand, which has a strong presence across Europe and Asia, will further supply branded attire, tables, bats, balls, rubbers, shoes and surrounds, enhancing Kenya’s table tennis infrastructure.

Speaking from Doha, where the deal was signed, Mudibo emphasised the transformative impact of the sponsorship.

“As a globally recognised brand, STAG’s involvement will inspire a new generation of young Kenyan players to unlock their potential in table tennis. This partnership is a game-changer in nurturing future elite athletes,” he said.

Mudibo noted that STAG will continue designing and supplying tailor-made branded merchandise exclusively for KTTA, further elevating the sport’s profile in the country.

STAG CEO and owner Vivek Kohli echoed the federation’s enthusiasm, reaffirming the company’s commitment to empowering athletes across all levels.

“At STAG, we are passionate about working with players of all ages and abilities. This partnership will allow us to connect with both elite and underprivileged athletes, fueling their enthusiasm and development in the sport,” Kohli said.

He added that STAG remains committed to youth development initiatives across Africa, providing sportswear and equipment support to help young talents thrive from the grass-roots to the highest levels.
