The 2023/24 Athletics Kenya season begins with the first cross country weekend meeting to be held at the Machakos People's Park on Saturday.

The federation has urged athletes to register in droves for the competition, emphasising the importance of these build-up races as all eyes focus on next year's World Cross Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia and the Olympic Games in Paris, France.
