Belet, Paskalia among eight sanctioned by Adak

The 2023 Amsterdam Marathon champion Joshua Belet is among eight athletes sanctioned by the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya for various anti-doping rule violations.

Belet was slapped with a four-year ban, commencing February 13, following the presence of prohibited anabolic androgenic steroids, testosterone, 5alphaAdiol, 5betaAdiol, Pregnanediol, Androsterone and Etiocholanoline.  

Joan Jeruto will be on the sidelines for four years too after refusing or failing to submit to sample collection. Her suspension is effective November 22, 2023.

Alfred Biwott got four years following the presence of norandrosterone same as Isgah Cheruto, who, in addition to the anabolic steroid, had its metabolite, 19-noretiocholanolone.

Her intelligibility was backdated to February 5.

Victor Kimutai got three years for the presence of methasterone metabolite 18-Nor-17 while Allan Kipkoech was banned for four years following the presence of Pregnanediol, Androsterone, Androstane, Ketoetiocholanolone.

Equity Dumas basket player Alex Ramazani was banned for a month due to the presence of cannabinoids.
