KBF Inter Provincial playoffs set for Homa Bay

The Kenya Basketball Federation Inter-Provincial playoffs will be held in Homa Bay County, it has been announced.

Joseph Amoko, the KBF competitions secretary has already notified all teams that the tournament, to be used to promote provincial teams to the national league, will throw off on December 9-10 at Asumbi Teachers Training College.

He said all participating teams from the counties will be required to pay a Sh6,500 entry fee and must be accompanied by a qualified referee, failure of which a fine of Sh6,000 will be imposed against them.

Amoko asked the four qualified teams (two men and two women) who will be representing their region to submit their names before December 6. The winner and runner up will be promoted to Men Division Two and Women Division One.

Meanwhile, the Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA) playoff finals start on Saturday with Game One of the best of five-game series pitting Dream Girls against Lady Titans at Strathmore University Sports Complex.

The two teams, who were placed top in the regular season set up the mouth-watering duel after defeating Gladiators and National Youth Service (NYS) in the semifinals respectively.

Dream Girls will rely on the experience of Celia Asila, Rebecca Sarange, Linda Nyikuli, Gillian Tan, and Carol Ouma. For the Titans, Celestine Ago, Elsie Njonjo, Tru Mochache, and Kelly Daisy, will play a key role for coach Moses Musebe.

The men's teams are still involved in a fierce semifinals battle as Multi Media University (MMU) who are up 2-0 play Sunrise while Don Bosco, ahead

2-1 meet Daystar University Falcons.
