Team Experience after winning the men's title during the Build All-Star basketball tournament

Team Experience and Stingers dominated the U23 category of the Build All-Star basketball tournament held across the Komarock, KFC and Anila courts.

Team Experience retained their crown in the men's category after a 35-31 victory against runners-up Umoja Elite Academy.

Stingers secured the top prize in the ladies category after a 34-32 victory against SWAT Development Team in a fiercely contested match.

The tournament coincided with International Youth Day, underscoring the pivotal role of sports in shaping the continent’s future leaders.

Apart from focusing on competitive excellence, the tournament also emphasised the mental well-being of its athletes.

 “While the tournament spotlighted competitive excellence, our primary focus was on mental health—an often overlooked aspect in sports,” read a statement from the organizers.

Stella Mwenda of Team Soweto shone in the three-point contest, claiming victory, with SWAT’s Caroline Njeri finishing runner-up.

The tournament, which was held in collaboration with the Nairobi County League, was part of a broader initiative to identify and nurture basketball talent in the country and across Africa.
