Kenya Under 20 forward, Brian Wanyama, has parted ways with Kenyan Premier League club Kariobangi Sharks.
The side announced the player's departure through a social media post on Wednesday.
“Skilful winger Enock Brian Wanyama is saying goodbye to the club after one season of service. We thank him for his efforts and wish him all the best in the future,” wrote the club on their official Facebook page.
Wanyama's departure comes barely a week after goalkeeper, Brian Olang'o, left the country for tryouts with a number of Egyptian top-tier clubs.
Kenya Under 17 goal tender severed ties with the Kenyan Premier League club at the peak of his two-year stint. Olang'o joined Sharks in September 2020 from KCB.
The club confirmed the player's departure over the weekend.
“Exit. After 2 seasons of service, Brian Olang'o has left the club having made six appearances in all competitions. Asante sana (thanks) Olang'o and good luck,” the club tweeted.
Olang'o expressed gratitude for being part of the winding journey during his two-year stay.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank the entire Kariobangi Sharks family and fans for the support and the opportunity they gave me to showcase my ability,” Olang'o said.
“It is hard to say goodbye to a place I've called home over the past few years. To the players and members of the technical bench, I say God bless you till we meet again."
