Baraka, Agutu star in MOFA youth football tournament

Baraka bagged the top scorers award in the under-13 category after finding the back of the net nine times.

Jeconia Agutu and Damian Baraka emerged as top scorers in the Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA) under-15 tournament that was held last weekend.

Baraka bagged the top scorers' award in the under-13 category after finding the back of the net nine times.

Agutu on the other hand, scored 12 goals to emerge top in the under-15 category in an action-packed weekend.

Buruburu Soccer Academy's under-9 team was crowned champions at this year’s Rausha Kipaji football tournament that ended on Sunday,  April 30, in Nakuru County.

The Homabay side MOFA beat Stawisha Academy 5-1 and Express Soccer Academy 1-0 en route to booking their slot in the age group finals for the main cup where they beat Ufasimba to win the Under 15 category title.

Shelton Omondi's goal was all that MOFA needed to be crowned champions. 

In the Under 9 category, Buruburu Soccer Academy played out a barren draw with Express Soccer to force post-match penalties.

Buruburu won the match 3-1 with Adjatay Gabriel, Omar Abdalla, and Edwin Munyao all converting their spot kicks.

The best player of the tournament in the Under 9 category was Omar Abdalla from Buruburu Soccer Academy.
