Zetech Sparks' tactician Bernard Kitolo

Zetech Sparks' head coach Bernard Kitolo says his side has worked on their finishing and counterattack during training and are ready for   Bunyore Starlets during their Kenya Women Premier League match this Sunday at Imani Stadium.

The students are looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat against Nakuru City Queens last weekend.

"We had so many chances in that game but our finishing cost us and we were not able to convert them. In training, that is what we have been focusing on and we hope the girls will this time rise to the occasion," said Kitolo.

The tactician said they expect Susan Nyumba who sustained a knock against Nakuru to be back.

''Nyumba has been training and she has fully recovered from the injury. She didn't finish the last match and that affected us. However, she is now back and we are hoping to pick up the three points," he added.

Ann Arusi and Rebecca Kwoba who were with Rising Starlets for their Fifa U20 World Cup qualifier match against Angola will also be back.

He added that his charges are mentally prepared for the tough fixture against Bunyore Starlets who have had a successful start to the season.

''The girls are mentally prepared for this match unlike the game against Nakuru, where the postponement of the match from noon to 2 p.m. really affected them," he said.

"The match officials also checked in the stadium late, something which should not happen. This situation demoralised our girls, who were psychologically prepared for an early kick-off. I hope that will not be the case this weekend,'' he concluded.

Meanwhile, Bunyore Starlets will be eyeing a third win of the season after back-to-back wins against Gaspo and Trans Nzoia Falcons.

On Saturday, Vihiga Queens will kickstart an action-packed weekend against Kenya Police Bullets at Moi Stadium.

Sunday's matches will pit Gaspo Women against Bungoma Queens at Stima Club while Ulinzi Starlets face Nakuru City Queens at ASK grounds.

Trans Nzoia Falcons will face Soccer Assassins at Ndura Sports Complex while Kibera Soccer Ladies face Wadadia at Mumias Sports Complex.
