KPA, Equity stay on course in Africa Zone Five league

Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) became the second Kenyan team to sail into the semi-finals of the  FIBA Africa Women Basketball League Zone Five after beating Vijana Queens of Tanzania 81-36 at the LDK Lyncee Gymnasium in Kigali, Rwanda.

In the first quarter finals of the day, Equity Bank Hawks had slammed Nile Legends 72-43.

KPA will meet the winner between JKL Dolphins and APR while Equity Bank will tackle the winner between REG and Gladiators in the semi-finals.

So far,  the Kenyan teams are unbeaten. The porters sailed off to a fine 23-7 start in the first quarter.  The second was equally an easy affair as they took a 26-11 edge and led 49-18 at halftime. Playmaker Aminata Semassekou was unstoppable in this half as she led the team with a 14-point haul.
