Tusker FC parts ways with 11 players

FKF Premier League side Tusker FC on Thursday announced the departure of 11 players.

The 11 first-team players left the Brewers following the expiry of their contracts,  according to the club. 

“This decision marks a new chapter for the club as we continue to evolve and build towards future success,” said the club in a statement.

Striker Eric Kapaito headlines the list of departures from the Ruaraka-based side. Kapaito is said to be headed to Tanzania.

Others who are leaving are Daniel Sakari, Brian Bwire, Eric Zakayo, Stewart Omondi, Collins Otieno, Jimmy Mbugua, Eugene Asike, Boniface Onyango, Eric Otieno and Ibrahim Joshua.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of these players for their dedication, hard work and contributions to the club. Their efforts have been integral to our achievements and their commitment to the club will always be appreciated,” added the statement.

The club added: “As we embark on this new season, Tusker FC are focused on strengthening the squad and building a team that is poised for success. The club’s management and coaching staff are working diligently to ensure a competitive and exciting squad for the new season.”

The Brewers wished the players the best in their future endeavours and thanked them once for their invaluable contributions to the club. Several players are currently training with Tusker.

Among those who reported on Tuesday the club's pre-season are former Kariobangi Sharks forward Sven Yidah, former Muhoroni Youth defender Alex Onchwati, Murang’a Seal midfielder Eric Belencho, Gor Mahia defender Alvin Ochieng and former Sofapaka striker Jacob Onyango.
