Left-back Dennis Wanjala says he is excited and honoured to join FKF Premier League side, Tusker FC.

Wanjala on Monday signed for the Brewers from fellow FKF Premier League rivals Nairobi City Stars. He has been with Simba wa Nairobi for the last three seasons.

The defender becomes Tusker’s first signing. The club last week parted ways with 11 players.

“I am honoured to join Tusker FC, a club with a rich history and a winning tradition. I am eager to contribute to the team’s success and connect with the club's passionate fans. I look forward to working with my new teammates and giving my best on the pitch,” Wanjala told the club’s website after he put pen to paper on Monday morning.

He added: “Personally, my career has been on a very positive trajectory, looking at how much I have grown since I joined Nzoia Sugar while still in school. This is a big club and a massive achievement for me.”

The club said Wanjala, a talented and dynamic defender, brings with him a wealth of experience and an exciting skill set that will strengthen the club’s backline and enhance the team’s competitive edge.

Known to most of his peers as ‘Decha’, Wanjala is known for his exceptional vision, technical deadball speciality, and relentless work rate.

“His impressive track record and dedication on the field make him a valuable asset to the club as we prepare for the upcoming season,” said the club in a statement.
