All roads lead to Safari Park for the Football Kenya Federation gala awards to celebrate top performers in the 2023/24 Kenyan Premier League and Women's Premier League.

The event is sponsored by FKF broadcast partners Azam TV, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation and the Ministry of Sports.

FKF CEO Barry Otieno said they will honour excellence across eight categories including player, referee, coach and social manager of the year, Golden Boot, Golden Glove and Fair Play Award winners and the President's Award.

In the WPL, Vihiga Queens Tumiani Waliula is assured of the top scorer's gong after netting 16 goals while teammate, goalkeeper Sophie Akinyi will share the Golden Glove with Judith Osimbo of Ulinzi Starlets after keeping 10 clean sheets.

Harambee Starlets coach Beldine Odemba will have a shout in the women’s coach of the year after helping debutants Police Bullets to the WPL title in an unbeaten run.

Otieno said the gala will be a testament to the hard work, passion and dedication to the sport.

“Winning teams across the Kenyan leagues have already received their prize money and offset part of the referees’ dues. We thank the referees for their patience throughout the season,” said Otieno.

He did not disclose the amount each category would fetch but assured all winners would smile to the bank.

Eric Kapaito, formerly of Tusker, was named the MVP and Golden Boot winner in 2021 after returning 24 goals.  He received Sh1.5m.
