Tusker FC Set for pre-season friendlies in Kampala

They have three international matches lined up against Ugandan opponents in Kampala during the period.

After two weeks of training at Ruaraka grounds, 12-time KPL champions Tusker will be heading to Kampala, Uganda for their pre-season tour from August 4 to August 11, 2024.

Charles Okere’s charges have three international matches lined up against Ugandan opponents in Kampala during the period.

“This tour marks a significant step in our preparations for the upcoming season, as we aim to strengthen team cohesion and readiness through competitive friendly matches. During our stay in Uganda, we will engage in three exciting friendly matches against prominent local teams,” said Okere.

The brewers will battle NEC FC on August 6, 2024, before taking on Kitara FC on August 7th.

 They will conclude their Kampala tour against Lugazi FC on August 10th, 2024, before returning home to Nairobi on August 11, 2024, for the final phase of our pre-season training.

Okere who replaced Robert Matano and is working alongside former Kenyan international George Maina says he expects intense and competitive matches, that will help the players fine-tune their skills and tactics under match conditions.

Regulars captain Charles Momanyi, Mike Kibwage, Chris Erambo, Tom Teka, Deogratious Ojok and John Njuguna among others will be stepping towards their 13th title quest, after finishing behind Gor Mahia for the second consecutive season.

Okere and Maina will also keenly be watching new signings Dennis Wanjala, Erick Balecho, Jacob Onyango Joseph Ochuka, Thomas Omole and Alex Onchwari, as they hope to get their new starting 11, after parting ways with several first-team players.

After the Kampala pre-season tour,  Okere will focus on further enhancing the player's physical conditioning and tactical strategies, ensuring they are fully prepared 2024/2025 season that kicks off on August 24th, 2024.
