Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat has named the travelling team for the AFCON 2025 qualifier matches against Zimbabwe and Namibia, scheduled for September 6 and 10, 2024.

The team includes three goalkeepers, Levis Opiyo (AFC Leopards), Patrick Matasi( Tusker FC), and Byrne Omondi (KCB).

Defenders making the list are Sharrif Majabe(Bandari FC), Joseph Okumu(Reims-France), Johnstone Omurwa(Estrela da Amadora -Portugal), Amos Nondi(FC Ararat-Armenia ), Abud Omar(Kenya Police), Eric Ouma(Raków Częstochowa - Poland), Sylvester Owino (Gor Mahia), and Alphonce Omija(Gor Mahia).

The midfield area will have Chris Erambo(Tusker FC), Richard Odada(Dundee United- Scotland), Anthony Akumu(Kheybar Khorramabad - Iran), Kenneth Muguna(Kenya Police), Eric Johanna (FC UTA Arad- Romania), Ronney Onyango(Gor Mahia), Austine Odhiambo (Gor Mahia), Duke Abuya (Young Africans - Tanzania), and Timothy Ouma (IF Elsborg- Sweden).

The attacking forwards will comprise John Avire(Misr el Makasa-Egypt), Michael Olunga(Al-Duhail - Qatar) Jonah Ayunga(St Mirren - Scotland), Benson Omalla (Gor Mahia), and Victor Omune (AFC Leopards).

Foreign-based players—Captain Olunga, Ayunga, Ouma, Okumu, and Odada are set to join the team in Uganda.
