KCB head coach Patrick Odhiambo has promised to steer his players to victory over perennial rivals Tusker in a Premier League match on Saturday.

Speaking ahead of the game, Odhiambo issued a confident statement, firing a warning shot to the Ruaraka-based Brewers.

“We recognise the significance of this match and its impact on our players and fans,” he stated.

“We have done our homework and are committed to doing everything we can. We have a very driven team, and I do not doubt that we will win.”

Odhiambo’s remarks come off the back of an impressive start to the season by KCB, which has seen them notch up four victories and draw one game.

The club is currently atop the log.

However, Odhiambo understands the threat posed by Tusker, who have dominated the rivalry in recent years.

“We have always had difficult games against Tusker, who are a formidable team. We are committed to altering that narrative, though. Given how driven our players are, I have no doubt that we can conquer any obstacle in our path," Odhiambo said.

The head coach stressed the importance of maintaining focus and composure throughout the match.

“Every possession and every choice we make on the field are crucial, and we cannot undervalue them. To succeed, we must maintain our composure and focus," he said.

“This game presents an opportunity for us to make a statement and move up the table. We are determined to leave our mark on the season and prove that KCB is capable of competing with the best teams in the league.”

Odhiambo has called on KCB’s fans to create an impact by cheering their team on relentlessly throughout the match.

The KCB- Tusker rivalry is always fiercely contested and this clash promises to be no different.
