A 53-year-old man was on Thursday charged with defiling minors.
Joel Etale alias Omwami appeared before Kisumu court Senior Resident Magistrate Joseline Mitei where he pleaded not guilty to the offence.
The court was told that the suspect defiled two nine-year-old minors on diverse dates in June 2021 at Manyatta area within Kisumu county.
He was alleged to have committed the offence contrary to section 8(1) (2) of the Sexual offences Act no 3 of 2006.
The suspect was also charged as an alternative count with committing an indecent act with a child contrary to section 11(1) of the sexual offences Act 3 of 2006.
The resident magistrate released him on a bond of Sh200, 000.
The matter will be mentioned on July 15, 2021.
