A man has been found dead in Mlolongo, Machakos County.
The body was discovered at a residence in the Kasina area within Mlolongo Township on Wednesday.
Athi River East subcounty police commander Anderson Mbae said the deceased suspected to be a 40-year-old was discovered by neighbours who later reported the incident at Mlolongo police station.
“He was found dead next to his house within his father’s plot in Kasina area,” Mbae told the Star on Thursday.
Mbae said preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased had been sickling.
The incident was reported to the station as a case of sudden death.
He said the deceased’s family was yet to be informed of his death.
The body was removed to a mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
