Kigumo MP-elect Joseph Munyoro has assured residents of an all-inclusive leadership to bridge the gap between the poor and the rich.

Businessman Munyoro has said the previous regime was marred by inconsistencies in development and unfair distribution of resources.

The-MP elect has said he will focus his efforts towards transforming the education and security sectors in the Murang'a constituency.

He said that in his campaigning he visited other constituencies and “we will implement what we have learnt.

"In Kiharu, for example, all the schools have been refurbished and tiled, and have well-done lawns. We hope to adopt that policy as soon as possible,” he told The Star.

Ndindi Nyoro, who has been re-elected as Kiharu MP, has tiled all 102 public primary schools and pledged to help Munyoro do the same in his constituency.

Munyoro has also pledged to ensure working conditions for  police officers are upgraded to enhance morale and security.

His venture into politics, he said, was purely based on the gaps he saw in previous leadership of the constituency.

Munyoro is currently the patron of Mariira primary and secondary schools that have recorded major improvement in the past few years.

“The primary school is one of the best performing public boarding primary schools in the county and we hope to make similar impact in other schools,” he said.

Munyoro, an economics, statistics and marketing expert, has worked at Royal Media Services and Nation Media Group in the marketing department.

He started his career at Rocky advertising company before moving on to invest in the hospitality industry, farming and car sales.

He joined politics in 2015 but lost the seat to MP Wangari Mwaniki.

This time however, Munyoro who ran on the UDA party, managed to turn the tables in Mwaniki and won with  27,213 votes.
