Several Cabinet Secretaries have made appointments and re-appointments of people in different state agencies.

Agriculture and  Livestock Development CS Mutahi Kagwe has appointed John Thongori to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Cereals and Produce Board.

Thongori will serve in this capacity for three years, effective from April 25, 2025.

Kagwe has also re-appointed Ezekiel Kiprop to be a member of the Pest Control Products Board for three years, effective from April 25, 2025.

Water, Sanitation and Irrigation CS Eric Muuga has re-appointed James Wainaina to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Athi Water Works Development Agency for three years, effective April 25, 2025.

Defence SC Soipan Tuya has appointed Brig (Rtd.) J N Mururi, Brig (Rtd) P T Ibeere, Brig (Rtd) D C Bartonjo, to be members of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Ordinance Factories Corporation (KOFC) for three years, from April 25.

CS Tuya further appointed Edward Kimosop to be a Member of the Advisory Committee on Military Veterans for a year effective May 1, 2025.

In the gazette notice dated April 25, 2025, Attorney-General Dorcas Oduor has appointed Agatha Lutala Karani, Sarah Wanjiru Migwi, and Dan Okoth Aceda to be Members of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Copyright Board for three years, effective April 25, 2025.

Labour and Social Protection CS Alfred Mutua has appointed Elizabeth Chesang, Joseph Etyang, Freddah L. Seleto, Hannah N. Njeri, Duncan M. Chengo, and Amb. Aggrey Shitsama to be members of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities for three years, effective April 25, 2025.

Education CS has also reappointed Margaret C. Koech, Joakim Mulaa, and Daniel Mutai to be Members of the Council of the Ol’lessos National Polytechnic, for three years effective February 25, 2025.

Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development CS Alice Wahome has also appointed Eunice Macharia to be the Chairperson of the Estate Agents Registration Board, for a year, effective April 25, 2025.

The CS also appointed Mary Njeri Kamunyu and Regina Njoki Njue to be Members of the Land Surveyors’ Board for two years, effective April 25, 2025.

In the same gazette notice, CS Wahome further appointed Daniel Maina to be the chairperson of the Valuers Registration Board for three years, effective April 25, 2025.

President William Ruto also extended the term of the Technical Working Group on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), including Femicide.

In the gazette notice, the President extended the term for 60 days, with effect from April 9, 2025, up to June 8, 2025.

The announcement was gazetted by the Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei.
