Mandera Senator Ali Roba has lauded the move by President William Ruto to disband his cabinet.

"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to  President Ruto on the recent decisive action of disbanding the cabinet," Roba said.

In a message on X, Roba highlighted Ruto's unwavering commitment to the aspirations of Kenyans, especially resonating with the dynamic Generation Z.

"This bold move demonstrates his unwavering commitment to addressing the concerns and aspirations of Kenyans, particularly the vocal Generation Z," he said.

Roba said the move also underscores the confidence in President Ruto's leadership.

"His willingness to listen and respond to the outcry of his people is a testament to his visionary leadership and dedication to the democratic principles that our nation cherishes," he said.

On Thursday, Ruto dissolved his Cabinet, sending home all Cabinet Secretaries and Attorney General.

"I have decided to dismiss with immediate effect all cabinet secretaries and attorney general of the Cabinet of Kenya except the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs," Ruto said.

The Head of State said the new cabinet will be named after extensive consultations.
