Detectives from Kisii on Wednesday said they had arrested the woman suspected of stabbing her estranged husband to death in the Jogoo area on Monday night.
The suspect, 35 was nabbed on Tuesday evening from the house of a relative Kayole in Nairobi where she fled.
The woman is suspected of storming into the rental house in the Jogoo area in Kisii on Monday night where the deceased, 45, lived with his lover, also a college student.
She stabbed him several times in the neck and head leaving him in a pool of blood.
He succumbed hours later as doctors attended to him at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Kisii Central police station subcounty police commander Amos Ambasa said the suspect would be arraigned in court to face murder charges.
"Already she is on her way here and shall be arraigned on arrival," he told the Star on Wednesday.
