Sang retained five of his former CECs and named three new ones to his "transformation team" to help him in his second term.

Philemon Bureti and Ruth Koech were re-appointed into their previous dockets of Lands and health respectively.
Finance department, Sang has transferred CPA Alfred Lagat who he appointed to head the trade and investment department while Drice Rono was retained to head Roads and infrastructure.
In a turn of events, a former MCA for Chemase/ Chemelil ward, Hillary Serem has been nominated to head the Finance docket as the CEC.
Serem had lost in the UDA primaries to Martin Douglas, while Isaiah Keter has been nominated as the CEC public service and ICT.

Scolastica Tuwei, has been nominated to head education, sports, culture and youth.
Tuwei has been the chief officer for Education and vocational training.
Governor Sang has dropped his long-time peers Jacob Tanui, Elly Kurgat and Grace Sugut from his cabinet.
He has also reduced the number of ministries from 11 to 8.
