President William Ruto has this afternoon met with congressional delegation from the US led by Oklahoma's Senator Jim Inhofe.
"The partnership between Kenya and the United States in the fields of security, health and trade has been the bedrock of our bilateral relations," Ruto said.
Also in attendance was US ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman and Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua among others.
This is the second time Ruto is meeting with the US delegation in less than a month.
The first meeting came after the Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga filed a petition at the Supreme Court challenging , Ruto's win.
The meetings discussed the concluded election and areas of cooperation between Kenya and the US.
The US team was led by Delaware Senator Chris Andrew Coons and US Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman.
The group met Ruto at his Karen office, Raila at a Nairobi hotel and former President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House.
