Nairobi residents on Thursday morning woke up to flooded roads as heavy rains pounded the capital.

The rains that pounded the city in the early morning hours  left flood-prone areas submerged.

Along Uhuru Highway coming down to Chiromo and Waiyaki Wat roundabout until Haile Selassie was a flooded zone.

Coming to estates,Imara Daima was the most affected ward with some sections completely a no-go zone for pedestrians.

Angry residents blamed the area leaders for failing to work on the drainage and roads while the weather was favourable.
