It was another rare occasion where the opposition and government dined together.
President of Kenya William Ruto on Thursday evening hosted a dinner at the Kisii State Lodge which was attended by leaders from Kenya Kwanza and Azimio la Umoja coalitions.
The leaders present included Kisii Governor Simba Arati, his Nyamira counterpart from Amos Nyaribo, Education CS Ezekiel Machgu, and Interior CAS Millicent Omanga among others.
Sources confirmed to the Star that the leaders engaged in development talks and pledged support for government projects.
Those from Opposition also vowed to support the Kenya Kwanza government and said they will not participate in the maandamano.
This is the President's first official visit to the region since he became the Head of State.
