President William Ruto on Saturday presided over the swearing in of new Chief of Defence Forces General Francis Omondi Ogolla.
Lt General Jonah Maina Mwangi was also sworn in as Vice Chief of Defence Forces.
The ceremony was held at State House, Nairobi.
Ogolla was appointed on April 28 following a military council meeting that also promoted a number of officers.
Gen Ogolla replaces Gen Robert Kariuki Kibochi whose tenure came to an end.
