Preparations were top-notch to receive President William Ruto on Thursday at Parliament for the State of the Nation Address
He was received by DP Rigathi Gachagua and Speakers from both Houses, Moses Wetang'ula (National Assembly) and Amason Kingi (Senate).
Kenyans also gathered outside Parliament to catch a glimpse of the President.
A guard of honour was set by the Kenya Defence Forces for the President to inspect.
The President will address a joint Parliamentary sitting of both the National Assembly and the Senate on Thursday afternoon.
The address will come 14 months after Ruto became Kenya's fifth President.
