Cabinet Secretary for Interior Kithure Kindiki on Tuesday returned to Lamu County to assess the security situation.
He made a first stop at the newly established Salama Camp where he engaged with the frontline officers.
Thereafter, the CS paid a courtesy call to Lamu Governor Issa Timamy at the County Headquarters in Mokowe.
"The Government is continously reviewing covert and overt interventions for sustaining the war on terror and other threats to national security," Kindiki said.
The Interior boss also visited other areas to review the progress of return to normalcy for people who had fled their homes in the Juhudi area following terror attacks
Many people went back home after security camps were established, and multi-agency security officers dispatched to secure the affected villages
