Defence Cabinet Secretary Adan Duale on Wednesday joined other Muslim faithful to mark Eid-Ul-Fitr.
Duale, alongside other leaders joined hundreds of Muslim faithful for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at the Eastleigh High School Grounds.
Eid-ul-Fitr is a major religious holiday for Muslims that marks the end of the month-long fasting period of Ramadhan which is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.
Duale urged all Muslims to continue praying for peace and stability of the country.
He also commended the declaration by President William Ruto abolishing harassment by way of vetting that especially the Muslim population faced before whenever they sought identity cards and passports.
Duale said that amidst the vibrant atmosphere of prayer and reflection, the gazzetment of Eid as public holiday highlights the government's acknowledgment and respect for diverse religious traditions within the country.
He said such gestures not only promote social cohesion but also demonstrate solidarity with the Muslim community during their religious festivities.
