High Court Judge David Majanja is set to be cremated today, July 17.

Majanja died at a hospital in Nairobi on July 10.

A funeral service will be conducted at Friends International Centre, Ngong Road starting from 9 am and a private interment ceremony held by the family

Thereafter, a Memorial Service will be held in Shinyalu constituency, Kakamega county on Saturday, July 20, 2024.

Both events will be live-streamed on the Judiciary YouTube page and Facebook page.

Majanja was appointed Judge of the High Court in 2011 and served at the high courts in Homa Bay, Migori, Kisumu and Kisii.

He also served at the Commercial and Tax Divisions and Milimani High Court Civil Division.

Majanja was sworn in as a member of the Judicial Service Commission on May 28, 2024.

This was after he was re-elected to represent the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA) on JSC.
