Former Kasarani MP Elizabeth Ongoro and her husband Ferdinand Masha Kenga were on Monday granted Sh3 million bail each in the case involving embezzlement of Sh48 million CDF cash.

The two with 19 others were charged with conspiracy to commit an offence of corruption against the law.

According to court papers, the embezzled public funds had been allocated to the construction of Kasarani girls high school.

In a different count, the former legislator is accused of fraudulently acquiring Sh4 million from Kasarani Girls project management account being part of the money allocated for the construction of Kasarani Girls high school.

She has denied all the charges preferred against her before magistrate Lawrence Mugambi.

The court has issued warrants of arrest to all the absent accused persons.
