Kenyans using the busy Nairobi- Naivasha Highway were stranded for hours on Wednesday following a heavy traffic jam.
The mess started a few kilometers from Soko Mjinga along the Kinale Forest.
Some of the road users caught in the traffic said that the jam started to build up from 8 in the morning, and that there was no movement in the afternoon.
The road was expected to be busy as the majority of Kenyans traveling to Rift Valley, Western, and Nyanza regions use the highway.
Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) is yet to communicate the cause of the jam.
The highway has for years been on the headline for such a mess.
According to the clip shared on social media, some of the users are trying to escape the mess by using alternative rough roads.
