The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has appointed three new senior officials.
IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati announced the appointments on Friday.
Among the appointed include Ruth Kalundu. She will serve as Deputy Commission Secretary (DCS) – Operations.
“She has 12 years experience in the management of elections,” IEBC said in a tweet.
Before her appointment, she served as the Siaya County Elections Manager. She also worked as the Regional Elections Coordinator from 2010 to 2017.
Others appointed include Michael Ouma, who will serve as Director of Information Communication and Technology (ICT).
The commission has further appointed Chrispine Otieno Owiye as the Director of Legal Services.
Owiye is an advocate of the High Court with 18 years of post-admission experience.
This comes two days after the Commission appointed Marjan Hussein Marjan as the CEO.
Marjan was preferred for the post after an interview held on Tuesday.
Before his appointment, Marjan held the position in an acting capacity since April 2019.
His rise started after he was appointed by Chebukati as the October 2017 repeat presidential poll coordinator.
