Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Monday landed in London for a series of high-profile engagements.
He will hold talks with top UK government officials on trade, investment, development, politics, security and the regional situation.
Raila is the AU Special Envoy for Infrastructure.
The ODM leader, who is accompanied by at least five Azimio leaders, was received by Kenya's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Manoah Esipisu on Monday morning.
Raila will on Tuesday morning meet UK Minister of Armed Forces James Heappey at MoD headquarters.
In the afternoon, the Azimio presidential candidate will hold talks with UK PM’s trade envoy to Kenya Theo Clarke at Westminister.
“On Wednesday, Raila will have a meeting with Lord Tarif Ahmed, the UK Minister for South Asia, North Africa, the UN and the Commonwealth – FCDO,” reads Raila’s itinerary.
“In the afternoon, he will speak at Chatham House think tank.”
Chatham House is a respected world policy institute facilitating governments and societies to build a sustainable, secure, prosperous and just world.
Deputy President William Ruto, who also toured the US and UK last week, also gave an address at Chatham House on Kenya’s 2022 election.
He used the opportunity to tear into the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila.
Raila is also scheduled to meet the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby on Thursday morning.
The archbishop met Ruto last week, soon after the DP delivered a speech at Chatham House.
On the same day, the Raila will have an afternoon session with Kenyans living in the United Kingdom.
The diaspora population will for the first time vote for their preferred presidential candidate in the August 9 general election.
The countries where Kenyans will vote include the US, UK, Canada, South Sudan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Germany.
They join Kenyans in seven countries – Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Africa – who participated in the 2017 last election.
Accompanying Raila are Governors Hassan Joho (Mombasa), Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Lee Kinyanjui (Nakuru), former presidential candidate Peter Kenneth and Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, among others.
Cotu secretary general Francis Atwoli, who left the country on Friday for the UK, will also link up with Raila’s team.
