Kenya on Wednesday recorded 392 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 3,124 tested in the last 24 hours.
The positivity rate is now at 12.5 per cent.
The Ministry of Health in a statement said 357 of the individuals are Kenyans while 35 are foreigners.
It also said 204 of the newly infected are females while 188 are males.
The youngest is one is a one-year-old while the oldest is 87 years old.
The total confirmed positive cases are now 333,290 while cumulative tests so far conducted are at 3,753,920.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said Nairobi accounted for 169 cases, Nakuru 43, Siaya 27, Kilifi 22, Kiambu 21, Mombasa 17, Trans Nzoia 12 while Murang’a and Uasin Gishu have 11 cases each.
Kisumu recorded nine cases, Garrisa and Kericho have six patients each, and Kisii, Nyamira and Tana River accounted for five each.
He added that Nyeri got four cases, Kajiado and Kakamega record three cases each, Homa Bay, Kwale, Laikipia, Meru and Narok counties have two patients each, while Baringo, Bungoma and Embu got one case each.
“Today, 246 patients have recovered from the disease, 230 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation Program while 16 are from various health facilities countrywide, this pushes the total recoveries to 323,701 of whom 270,496 are from the Home-Based Care and isolation program while 53,205 from various health facilities countrywide,” Kagwe said.
No patient has succumbed to the disease meaning the cumulative deaths remain at 5,652.
The number of patients currently admitted to health facilities is 128, while 3,809 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
Five patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of whom four are under ventilator support while one is on supplemental oxygen.
No patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
So far, Kenya has administered a total of 18,787,525 vaccines and 22, 841 in the last 24 hours while a total of fully vaccinated in the last 24 hours are 8,929.
The proportion of adults fully vaccinated was 31.8 per cent.
The government is working towards vaccinating a targeted population of 27,246,033.
