The late former Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut will be buried on Tuesday, October 18, at his home in Uasin Gishu County.
The funeral service will be held at Kapsundei Primary School on the same day after which his remains will be interred at his nearby home.
A statement released on Monday by the Funeral Planning Committee said his body will arrive in Eldoret on Monday, October 17, at 10am for a community farewell service.
The Requiem mass in Nairobi will be held on Friday, October 14, at AIC Milimani.
"A major Harambee to assist in the burial will be held on Thursday, October 13, in AIC Milimani,Nairobi," the statement said.
On Saturday an Harambee will be held at Eldoret's Wagon Wheel Hotel and on Sunday at his home in Kapsundei.
Chepkut passed away on Saturday morning, after collapsing at his house.
Family sources said he was rushed to Mediheal hospital Parklands where he was pronounced dead.
He has been unwell for some time and was admitted to the hospital between late last year and early this year.
The family revealed that the former MP had been battling Kidney disease for a very long time.
Chepkut was described as a humble and social person by the leaders who mourned him following the news.
"Mr Chepkut was down-to-earth and a witty politician who served his people with dedication," the President William Ruto said.
