A suspect has been arrested over fake social media examinations.
The suspect who had 20,000 followers on Telegram, was arrested through a joint exercise between Kenya National Examination Council and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
He will be arraigned on Monday morning at Milimani law courts.
His arrest comes days ahead of the national examinations set to begin on November 28 for KCPE, while the KCSE exam will be done from December 1 to December 23.
During the same period, primary schools will administer the national assessment for the pioneer cohort of the competency-based curriculum.
Education CS Ezekiel Machogu committed to curb irregularity in the upcoming national exams.
"We will leave nothing to chance as far as the administration of national exams is concerned,"Machogu said.
The CS said he is working with two other ministries to ensure a transparent examination process.
The ministries are ICT led by CS Eliud Owalo and Ministry of Interior led by CS Kithure Kindiki.
"The multi agency team is ready, keen and vigilant to deliver uncompromised and successful examination process for year 2022," he said.
