Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary on Friday met the Kenyan Embassy staff in Seoul South Korea.
He said the meeting was dominated by issues of staff welfare, service to the diaspora and how to leverage wonderful relationships with South Korea to grow the economy.
"I shared with them our new thrust of economic diplomacy based on mutual interests with our friendly nations’ brothers and sisters," he said.
He said the Kenya Kwanza administration is key to enhancing healthy and effective ties with South Korea.
"Enhancing trade, tourism, cultural exchanges, scholarships and jobs are important components of our Kenya Kwanza diplomatic plan," he said.
"I thank the Seoul, South Korea embassy team led by Ambassador Mwende Mwinzi for the great job they did in organizing the successful official visit by President William Ruto to Korea. You have made us proud."
Mutua on Tuesday met his counterpart FM Park Jin where they discussed bilateral and beneficial relations that will be enhanced by the visit.
"We agreed on critical issues that will be major points of discussion when our leaders sit together during our two nations’ bilateral session tomorrow," he said.
The CS said he shared his ideas about the Kenyan economic plan and appreciated the support they continue to receive in various fields.
Ruto had on Tuesday also met with the Kenyan community living in South Korea.
