Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot has warned his former party leader Uhuru Kenyatta over involvement in politics.
Speaking on Saturday, Cheruiyot said that the Kenya Kwanza government should continue its onslaught on the Kenyatta family over tax evasion.
“Nakubaliana na ile maneno Chepsongol alisema, finya hao watu kabisa, na sio kwa ushuru peke yake, hata ile vitu ya wananchi walichukua lazima warudishe. Wacha kulia kwa ushuru pekee my friend tunataka kukujia ile vitu ya wananchi ulichukua mpaka ile ilipatikana nchi zingine inaitwa Pandora,” Cheruiyot added.
This translates to;" I agree with Chepsongol statement of oppressing you (Uhuru) not only on tax but also on the things of the public that you took which must be returned.
"Stop crying over taxes alone my friend, we will come for you and the public property you took even those included in the Pandora," Cheruiyot said.
The Senator was speaking during the thanksgiving service of Mogotio Member of Parliament Reuben Kiborek in Baringo County.
The Majority leader further said he felt pity for Uhuru following the loser of an election.
He also warned the former President against involving himself in opposition politics.
“Leo Uhuru amejitokeza wazi wazi amesema ati party leader wake ni Raila Odinga, nimemuangalia hadi nikamuhurumia, yaani from a president to a follower of a rebel leader, shame on you!" Cheruiyot said.
The Senator questioned Uhuru's loyalty and support to President William Ruto, claiming that when he was in power, he was supported by everyone.
"How can it be that when you won elections other people supported you but when William Ruto wins elections, you join those that are castigating his government and saying they do not recognise him? Cheruyiot posed.
On Saturday, Uhuru affirmed that he is still a member of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party, despite his silence.
"Kustahafu sio kuchoka… ata wengine wanastahafu na nguvu zinaingozeka.Ata kama nimewacha siasa active, mimi bado ni mfuasi wa babaAkiniambia twende lazima twendwe ,"Uhuru said.
This translates to: "Retirement doesn't mean I'm tired. Others retire and increase their political strength,"he said.
