Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged locals from his home turf to join him when demos resume.
Kalonzo was speaking in Waita ward of Mwingi central, Kitui County when he hosted a global philanthropist, Queen Maria Amor Torres who launched a water project funded by her NGO dubbed We Care for Humanity.
"Will you join me in the demos? Let me see by a show of hands," Kalonzo posed.
Kalonzo said the Azimio team is not relenting and will hold the bipartisan talks alongside demos.
"Nothing comes easy and that's why they have nicknamed me buffalo soldier, I'm ready to face them head-on," he said.
He also noted that if Raila was the president, students in secondary school would be schooling for free which would have been a relief to many.
Kalonzo explained that he backed Raila Odinga during last year's general elections so that he would prepare for his candidature in 2027
"I opted to back the duo so that in 2027, Raila and Martha would support me too," he said.
Mwingi central MP Gideon Mulyungi slammed the Kenya Kwanza government, stating they misled Kenyans that the price of maize flour had gone down.
"In Mwingi Central, the flour is still retailing at over Sh230. We cannot be fooled," Mulyungi stated.
His sentiments come days after the government announced that the price of maize flour would drop this week.
He also stated that the demos are for the benefit of locals as the opposition is fighting for the right of Kenyans.
